Make sure pets have their own feeding dishes and utensils that you clean separately from other household items. Disinfect them regularly and rinse them thoroughly before re-use.

I LEARNED THE FOLLOWING
"""""""""""""Reducing Allergens in the Bedroom:
* Wash bedding weekly. The ideal wash water temperature is at least 130°F in order to kill dust mites in the bedding. (NOTE: Be sure to supervise children's water use to prevent scalding.)
* Choose non-allergenic bedding and allergen-proof bed covers. Use only synthetic bedding — no feather or down-filled quilts or pillows. Consider encasing the mattress, box spring, and pillows in dust mite-proof casings.
* Remove clutter. Clutter collects dust, so it also collects dust mites. Remove knickknacks, tabletop ornaments, books, magazines and newspapers from the bedroom.""""""""""""""

tip:
Regularly clean and disinfect floors and feeding areas used by pets, and never allow pets onto food preparation surfaces. Rinse cleaned items thoroughly with water before reusing them, as some cleaning products may be toxic to animals. (Read the label.)
tip:
Remove clutter. This, in turn, reduces places for dust to collect.
http://twitter.com/#!/sohamolina/status/28513387861
tip
Viruses are different from bacteria and mold/mildew. They are extremely small — only 1/100th of the size of bacteria or mold/mildew. But unlike bacteria or mold/mildew, which are capable of growing on their own, viruses need a host to infect in order to reproduce. It is through this process that viruses cause disease.
http://twitter.com/#!/sohamolina/status/28801334298
tip:
Use allergen-proof bed covers. Encasing pillows, mattresses and box springs in allergen-impermeable casings prevents dust mites from entering these soft furnishings and reproducing.

tip: Indoor Mold/Mildew: found in damp areas, like in the bathroom, kitchen or basement.
