There is nothing more frustrating for a child than not being able to verbally communicate when the child is very much aware of what he or she would like. Mocobabies strives to empower families to use sign language along with verbal communication when interacting. Teaching and applying sign language into a baby's daily routine allows your child to communicate effectively at a very young age. Mocobabies has created a line of tools that playfully will help you and your baby communicate through hand signals.
I received a very durable Mocobabies placemat to use at meal times with my 20 month old daughter. The concepts of the pictures are clear and playful, so that she can understand the situation displayed and the hand gestures pictured. Her eyes really light up as my 4 year old mimics the gestures as well as verbally communicates the gesture. It has become a game between the two of them and both of them are quickly picking up sign language without even realizing they are learning. I have only been practicing with my daughter for a couple of weeks, but I can definitely see how using signals with hands coupled with verbal communication can bridge the gap of communication for proverbal children and their parents.
Mocobabies is offering two placemats and a Mocobabies Tote Bag! To enter please visit Mocobabies, come back and comment on the product line that you would be most interested in using with your child. Giveaway closes midnight 7/14 PST!

This is a great idea! My 4-year-old is doing much better now with speech, but when he was a toddler he struggled a lot and needed therapy. I'm due with a baby girl next month and I think these placemats would be great for her!
I love both the baby food signs and baby first signs placemats!

Love the flash cards! We signed with my now 3 year old and it was so wonderful to be able to communicate with her before she was able to use words. It helped improve her future communication skills as well. Signing has been one of the best parenting decisions we've made! I can't wait to teach our new arrival!
