Dear E-Friends,
I am saddened to say that I lost my dear mother today. Her cancer finally took over, but she is pain free and at peace now. Please don't feel sorry for me as now I have the most amazing angel watching over me, helping me as I raise my young children. It amazes me how news travels quickly. The warmth of friendship has been pouring in! Thank you for all your kind tweets, emails and phone calls. I will not be posting for the next week as I spend time with my family. I know I have a TON of emails to respond to. I am sorry that I can not get to those promptly. Please know my focus is on my family and celebrating my mother's successful and honest life. No worries, the Peppermint Giveaways will continue! I will be back rejoicing the most fabulous holiday and time of the year with you on November 2.

A little up date. My mother's younger brother passed away a few hours after my mother from an unexpected heart attack. It is another great loss and there is a lot of sorrow, but how sweet (for them not for us) for two siblings to enter Heaven together!

I've never read your blog before but my friend just showed it to me. I lost my mother to cancer on Sept. 7th. I, too, have young children and miss her dearly, especially as I see my own kids, but I do know that she is watching over us. There are rough days ahead but a lot of peace can come, too. Good luck.

It is never easy to lose your mom. I lost mine when I was 18 in 1994. I think of her every day still. I alwasy find myself still talking to her when I am alone. Its crazy how much she is still alive though. She is always sending me little hints that she is watching me and and my 3 sweet chillins. I still talk about her a lot so my kids feel like they know Grandma Karen. I'm sorry that you have to go through this hard part of life. Here is to your mom and the next time that you get to see her again!

Im new to your blog and I am so sorry for your loss. Its so hard to lose someone so dear. I lost my father 2 years ago and he never got to see my kids. Its so sad! Im praying for you!
